Highlights of ´³±ð²Ô²Ô±ð±ð²Ô’s Story
Jenneen Penate, a Pharmacy student at PBA, chose the medical field because of her desire to help others while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Originally from Miami, she discovered Â鶹´«Ã½ while searching online for pharmacy schools in Florida and was drawn to both the academic excellence and the Christ-centered environment.
At Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Gregory School of Pharmacy, Jenneen has experienced firsthand the impact of combining medical care with ministry as a way to serve others through faith and compassion. During her medical mission trip to San Marcos de Colón, Honduras, she served on the pharmacy team in local church clinics, helping provide medical treatment to those in need.
Because she speaks Spanish, Jenneen was able to serve as a translator, assisting nurses during triage, supporting physicians and dentists, helping distribute eyeglasses, and participating in Vacation Bible School at a local elementary school. Beyond meeting physical needs, the team also offered prayer, answered medical questions, and provided spiritual encouragement to families in the community.
Serving in Honduras reinforced her calling. She saw how healthcare can open doors for ministry and how compassionate care can reflect the love of Christ. Back on campus, chapel services and the supportive Christian community at PBA have continued to shape her faith and strengthen her confidence in God’s direction for her life.
´³±ð²Ô²Ô±ð±ð²Ô’s is to help others and let God’s love shine through her work in healthcare. She hopes to use her pharmacy degree not only to treat patients, but to serve communities in ways that impact both physical and spiritual well-being.
